Our sold-out IMPACTT/IMC Gnotobiotic Workshop took place earlier this month on May 8-10, 2024 at the University of Calgary. We had a great time - thank you to our attendees and instructors for making this such a wonderful event!

Dr. Maryam Kebbe (IMPACTT Mentee) received a 2024 Banting – Heaslip Foundation Discovery Award for her research into how different diets affect the gut microorganisms in young children and babies and subsequently their health. Read the announcements here and here. Congratulations!

Dr. Fiona Brinkman (Platform 5 Co-Lead) gave a talk at the 5th Annual Canadian Metabolomics Conference (CanMetCon2024) in Vancouver, BC on “Integrating Omics Data to Benefit Communities.”

Gairdner Microbiome Symposium
|
|
|
The University of Guelph’s College of Biological Science will be hosting the Gairdner Microbiome Symposium on June 20, 2024, in partnership with the Gairdner Foundation.
|
Registration is now open, for both general admission and students interested in joining the poster competition. The symposium is free and open to anyone. A virtual registration option is also available.
