Symposium Details

IMPACTT (Integrated Microbiome Platforms for Advancing Causation Testing and Translation) and the IMC (International Microbiome Centre) organized a symposium on June 2 & 3, 2022 of interest to microbiome researchers, clinicians, and trainees.

Our goal for the Having IMPACTT Symposium is to bring together leading minds and highlight the latest findings and new discoveries from microbiome research teams across Canada and around the world.

Academic Faculty & Staff: $500 CAD

What’s Included

Registration fee includes access to all talks and sessions, as well as breakfast, lunch, and snacks on both days of the symposium.

A cash bar will be available during the poster presentations and during the banquet dinner.

Banquet Dinner Add-On

We will be hosting a symposium dinner on the evening of Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Malcolm Hotel. This is an excellent opportunity to make new contacts, reconnect with old colleagues, and network with speakers and attendees.

$50 for students/postdocs, $75 for academic faculty and staff, $100 for industry members. All prices are in CAD.

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission has now closed for this symposium, but registration is still open!

If you’d like to present your research at the symposium, please follow the instructions below to download the abstract submission form, fill it out, and submit it.

Please indicate if you would like your abstract to be considered for a short talk (10 min + Q&A) or a poster presentation. Abstracts submitted for a short talk that are not successful will automatically be considered for a poster presentation. If your abstract is selected for a poster presentation, you have the option of indicating whether you would also like to be considered for a 3 min flash talk.

Malcolm Hotel

Our 2022 symposium will be held at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, AB, Canada. To book a room at the Malcolm, please call 403-812-0680 or visit their website to see availability.

Coast Hotel

If there is no availability at the Malcolm Hotel, we recommend symposium attendees book their stay at the Coast Hotel, which is a short walk or cab ride from the Malcolm, and is also the drop-off and pick-up location for the Banff Airporter Shuttle (see below for details).

Our 2022 symposium will be held at the Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, AB, Canada. We have rooms at the hotel set aside for attendees, which can be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. To receive our group rate, please call 403-812-0680 and quote code “UC0601”, or to book online follow the instructions below:

Banff Airporter Shuttle

Receive a 15% discount on the Banff Airporter’s daily shuttle service between the Calgary Airport and the Coast Hotel in Canmore.
